As far as i can tell we get 50% of ALL profits, which is ad revenue and subscription revenue, i could be wrong? The music labels all reached agreements with Spotify. Or the other way around. The labels seem to have sent over their catalogues to Spotify. But individual artists have since then indicated they want to opt out. At least in certain countries. When a track turns mahogany you can search for it again and often find it through another distro. We ourselves have just got our first raft of deliveries out (Pressure Sounds being one of ours) and am very intrigued to see the first "sales" reports back from them. I've tried a fair few music streaming clients, but couldn't quite get to grips with any of them - this is perfect for me. I'm a bit concerned about the message they've sent out that they'll be removing a lot of tracks from their playlist... a lot of labels never actually reached agreements with Spotify so they're pulling a lot of their catalogue down.
